About Us

don’t overlook your own vulnerabilities

Your mental health determines your physical health

Mental Health sufferers are at a higher risk for cardiovascular (heart) disease than the general population. Depression is the number one cause of disability in men and women in USA, so don’t overlook your own vulnerabilities

Goals

  1. Through our client-centered approach, we bring the blurry aspects of your emotions and experiences into the surface of your focus and help you understand and find direction when you are overwhelmed.
  2. We will provide our undivided attention and make you feel valuable, help you understand and express yourself. We emphasize client empowerment, autonomy, and shared decision making. In our initial session, we will collaborate together to develop a personalized treatment plan.
  3. We offer evidence based psychotherapy and medication management for your mental health challenges to help you struggling with difficult mood symptoms, life transitions, relationship issues, and low self-esteem while improving coping skills to manage stress.

Specifications

We encourage you to talk about your mental health. You are not your mental illness. “Your struggles do not define you.” Taking care of your mental health is an act of self-love. You are worthy of happiness and peace of mind.
We do not prescribe medications unless they are absolutely necessary. And we are hyper-vigilant on monitoring any side effects. Weight gain is a possible side effect, so we encourage 30 minutes dietary cousession during visits.
Are you struggling to juggle your emotional health? Has it been difficult to find the right psychiatric support? We offer 15 minutes free consultation to see if we are the right fit for you. And we steer you in a direction that will help you to improve your coping strategies, resilience and live a life that is worthy living. Get a free 15 minute consultation.

More Words from

Dr. Sadeq Kawsar

I am a Columbia University Irving Medical Center-trained Psychiatrist with a clinical focus on Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry (older adults). I completed my residency training in Psychiatry at Harlem Hospital Center in Upper Manhattan in 2024 and in-course fellowship training at Columbia University. I received hands-on training in Pain Management, learned procedures at Harlem Hospital under Dr. De Castro who is a Columbia University faculty. I also received training in Neurosurgical Procedures while I was serving as a Chief Resident back in my country, performing more than 100 neurosurgical procedures (Brain and Spine) at an Academic Institution. I love to serve my patients; I work with them to ease their ailment. I open Muse Psychiatry, Pain and Dietary Counseling for helping the people in the community. I focus on adults (18-64) and older age groups (>64).

I have been featured in several award ceremonies including Patient Safety Award Champion (twice), Scholar of American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, Award of Excellence in Residency Candidate Training. Currently I am focusing on Interventional Psychiatry, Consult Liaison Services and Pain management which includes Psychosomatic Medicines and non-invasive/minimally invasive procedures. I offer psychotherapy, medication management, and a comprehensive psychiatric and psychosomatic treatment plan.

I have recently expanded my clinical hours, so I have room to take on new patients. I am also planning on expanding to a group practice in a few months, so please reach out if you are a therapist or psychiatrist interested in joining a team. I will certainly post a more detailed job announcement in the near future once I’m ready to start interviewing and hiring.

Thank you for reading. This is a wonderful community to be a part of.
